I was inspired to paint a snail tonight due to my youngest son's recent fascination with snails, which is thanks to the movie Turbo. At 2 1/2 years old, Wylder loves going for walks, searching for snails, and calling them all 'Turbo'. Sometimes he tells them to tuck and roll.
Inside the snail's shell a softness resides, delicate as the nature it consumes. On the outside, a spiral as perfect as a galaxy containing and protecting this one glistening life. My curious children reach gently pick up each snail, to say hello and what are you like? Let's look up close...as children often do. And be careful not to break it's shell.
